Going on his 2nd year of teaching, Nathan is excited to be a part of the WY choral community. Originally from Casper, and son of former WY choir director Paul Searcey, Nathan studied Music Education at Anderson University in Indiana. While attending AU, Nathan performed with the University Choral, traveling across the United States and to several European countries. He also performed percussion for the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra as well as musical theatre productions. In 2017, he was hired in Gillette to teach middle school choir, and he throughly enjoys teaching in a thriving music community. In addition, Nathan sings for Dr. Pat Patton in the Gillette Chamber Singers. While not teaching crazy middle school kids, Nathan is often found playing bass and drums at New Life Wesleyan Church, throwing frisbees, playing video games, and cooking new recipes.
